Diorama, November 2018
32" × 32" x 18"
1:87 scale diorama depicting a group of metal detectorist searching a mountain valley. Juxtaposed above the old Meeksville train depot with its rusting Florida Southern locomotive is a sleek passenger Amtrak train. The lighted observation bubble and train car windows show passengers. All of this is housed inside a handmade replica of a 32" 1950's era television cabinet. Vintage TV related objects complete the scene including an avocado green dial phone and a built-in 1950's flip-clock. LED lighting and timers make daytime to nighttime lighting scenic changes.
